National Nutrition Day is commemorated as a momentum to increase public awareness of the importance of balanced nutrition and nutritious food consumption in supporting a better quality of life.

In the 2025 commemoration, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkes) raised the theme "Choose Nutritious Food for a Healthy Family".

This theme emphasizes the urgency of a healthy and nutritious diet to support the growth and development of a smart and healthy young generation, as well as being a preventive measure against non-communicable diseases that often arise due to poor diet from the closest circle, namely the family.
